Every now and then, I get Justis Kao fans coming to the site, looking up things like "Justis Kao's birthday" or "Justis Kao lyrics" or "Justis Kao life-sized dolls for free cross-border shipping". So, knowing that there's such a demand -- and being fortunate enough to have my friend esteemed to such heights -- I try to keep his fans coming by mentioning Justis Kao as much as (Justis Kao) possible (Justis Kao life-sized doll). Just[is] so you know, Justis Kao has a new Justis Kao CD. Here's how you get one: You click here. Just kidding. To buy a JUSTIS KAO CD, you click here. He's also doing a concert December 17th at the Japan America Theater in Little Tokyo, Downtown LA. Email me if you're interested.
In other news, I got a haircut today. All I have to say is I've never realized how sorely my wardrobe here in SF is missing hats.    The News Archive | Email
I'm not quite sure how this happened, but root beer has suddenly become very important to me. It wasn't ever like this before. But I love how different brands of root beer actually bring something different to the table: some are creamier, some have more supposed bite, some have a hint of caramel. Yet, they're all good. Unlike Coke, where Pepsi sucks and anything diet should be immediately poured down a drain. So I've made the switch and root beer is the new bubbly. I tell myself it's healthier because I assume there are actual "roots" involved in root beer, though I can't figure out from what tree (or plant) it comes from and whether that actually makes the drink organic (or healthier).
Wow, that totally just justified having my own website. Things are just so busy over here. Stay tuned for more trifling posts and excuses for them.    The News Archive | Email
I'm not sure where the time has gone because the last time I updated was two weeks ago. I was meaning to come back and write for no other reason than to plug two other performances, but even those have passed. So without further delay, Friday and Saturday, I'll be playing the second Kirchner trio which is oddly beautiful and a newly commissioned septet by Schwendinger. Friday's concert will be at Hellmann, and Saturday's concert in Berkeley. Email if you're interested.
Other than that, there's no other news. The idea of exercise and running regularly has fallen slightly into more abstract realms, like the fantastic exercise of my imagination. So though the site has been seeing less of me lately, you might say that everyone in San Francisco has been seeing more.    The News Archive | Email
